In just over two years, Wolverhampton’s Fight Club: Pro has gone from putting on grappling in front of a few friends and family members in a scout hut to promoting cards with the cream of the international crop of elite wrestlers.
With ROH star Eddie Edwards - yes, that Eddie Edwards - appearing unannounced at last Saturday's Infinity 2011 show to unseat FC: P's champ Trent Seven during a triple-threat match including Nigel McGuinness, Trent speaks to me about one of wrestling's most treasured surprise appearances since the Gobbledygooker made his bow at the 1990 Survivor Series.
And although Fight Club: Pro have welcomed the likes of Davey Richards, Sami Callihan, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, El Generico and Colt Cabana to their fenced ring over the past few months, Seven is keen to stress that it is the local talent that keeps the fans coming back show after show.

The development of one of their most brightly-shining stars, MK McKinnan - winner of Infinity 2011's tournament main event - will be instrumental in Fight Club: Pro's continued advancement.
Seven earmarks McKinnan's victory as the embodiment of the FC: P code ‘fight, train, win’ - and also as a direct stepping stone to a shot at Edwards' new title.

Listen to my interview with Trent Seven by clicking on the audio player below as the former champ talks through all of the above, why the aim of Fight Club: Pro is to deliver the hardest-hitting and fastest action in the UK and takes us though his superb clash with Eddie Edwards and Nigel McGuiness.
For those that don't like strong language, be warned - you might want to stick your fingers in your ears or just don't press play. It's your loss.
Plus, come back to Mirror.co.uk on Friday for my interview with the retiring Nigel McGuiness for the most intimate and in depth discussion of his career – it’s a belter.
