Google today paid tribute to physicist-chemist Marie Curie, with a doodle celebrating what would have been her 144th birthday.
The doodle shows Curie sitting among a science lab's apparatus.
Curie was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1867 and became famous for her pioneering research on radioactivity.
She was the first person to be awarded two Nobel Prizes, in physics and chemistry.
